I was delighted to accept an invitation from the Chief Executive of the Manor Hospital to see the continuing progress on the new Urgent and Emergency Care Centre. It was good to see at first-hand the excellent progress on the reconfiguration of the current department following the Government’s commitment of £36 million of capital funding towards the new Emergency Care Department.
Throughout the visit I was once again struck by the incredible professionalism of the people we are fortunate enough to have working in our National Health Service and the clear team approach to developing and delivering these new facilities.
Once complete this will benefit patients across Walsall, including Aldridge-Brownhills, whilst also benefitting the staff working in our local emergency services.
I would like to thank the staff at the Manor and contractors Tilbury Douglas for taking the time to facilitate my visit and I look forward to visiting again in the near future.
