I was delighted to visit the Middlemore Lane Household Waste Recycling Centre in Aldridge for a discussion whilst walking around the site and viewing what is a very impressive facility.
It was an excellent opportunity for me to see the facility first hand and learn much more about the specialist facilities we have locally at both the Recycling Centre, and at the Re-Use shop which I understand to be the largest in the UK. It was clear during my visit how popular this is becoming with local residents!
With the need to continue to drive up recycling and re-use rates as we seek to shift to a more circular economy the Middlemore Lane facility is a key asset to us in the Walsall Borough.
