I was pleased to meet with Chief Superintendent Andy Parsons virtually and catch up on policing matters across my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency.
It was also an opportunity to thank him and his officers for the job they do on our behalf and how hard they have all worked throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
As part of our discussion I continued to impress upon him the need to ensure that we retain a Police Station in Aldridge as well as receiving our fair share of the `new Police Officers which are being recruited by West Midlands Police as part of the Government’s recruitment campaign of 20,000 new police officers nationwide.
Our local police force have played a significant role throughout the pandemic and I know it remains important to residents right across Aldridge-Brownhills that we have a visible Police presence in our neighbourhoods, protecting the public and helping us tackle crime at a local level.
