Last week we were all delighted at the news that the UK became the first country in the world to approve the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine.
I am therefore equally pleased that the vaccine has now arrived in the West Midlands and in the Borough of Walsall.
No one underestimates the extent of the challenge ahead of us to roll out the vaccine to the whole population, but we now have light at the end of the tunnel and a route map out of the pandemic.
It is important however to remember and recognise thought that whilst the vaccine is being rolled out it remains we must continue to follow the rules as a Tier 3 area and observe the basics of – Hands, Face and Space! It is incumbent upon us all to continue to play our part in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic.
