I can’t believe how quickly The Macmillan Cancer Support World’s Biggest Coffee Morning comes around. It has now become something of an annual feature in my constituency diary. So I was out and about today dodging the showers right across the constituency at some fantastic fund-raising events to support the initiative once more. The day started with Coffee to St Michael & All Angels Church, Pelsall and then I had a lovely morning with old friends and new alike sharing a lot of cake and good company.
As in previous year’s the Coffee Mornings encouraged people to get together and talk about the issues people living with cancer have to deal with as well as learn more about the outstanding work that Macmillan offers to people affected by cancer whilst fundraising for the Charity.
I managed to visit 6 of the events taking place in Aldridge-Brownhills today and thank you to everywhere that hosted me Autumn Close, Coleman Lodge, Hawthorns Aldridge, The Old Railway House Nursery Nursery and Partridge Allen.
Thank you to everyone who organised an event, they were all superb and for such a great cause.
