It’s taken more than a year of campaigning, and keeping up the pressure but today this Labour Government have finally been made to see sense – and they have been forced to partially change course on their disastrous family farm and family business tax
This means the level of Agricultural and Business Property Relief threshold will increase from £1m to £2.5m for Inheritance Tax when it gets introduced in April 2026.
Whilst for some this is too little, too late, it will protect many more family farms and family businesses. These are Businesses that risked being destroyed after generations of working hard.
