In recent weeks we have seen that public interest and concern about our environment and climate change is growing and it was a pleasure to meet students at Shire Oak Academy at the end of last week and hear their views on how to improve our environment and air quality.

After an excellent Question & Answer session, I was pleased to be presented with the Postcards they have written to the Environment Secretary outlining their concerns about air pollution. I will be passing these on to Michael Gove, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs on their behalf, as soon as I get back to Westminster.

Thank you to all the students for a great visit.
