Today Britain will fall silent on the 11th hour, as a nation in an Act of Remembrance to mark Remembrance Sunday.
This year’s Remembrance Sunday will be like no other in our history and many of us will be marking the occasion on our doorsteps or in our homes due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Right across my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency new and innovative ways have been found to be able to bring us all together virtually to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.
In the last week I have been privileged to lay wreaths at Aldridge, Brownhills, Pelsall, Rushall, Streetly and Walsall Wood to mark our annual Act of Remembrance.
Although this Remembrance Sunday we have not been able to gather for our annual Remembrance Parades and Services we continue to honour the fact that so many of us owe so much to those who gave their lives for our freedom. Lest we forget.
