| It was a pleasure to meet Colin Roberts from my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency and representatives of Remain and Report at Parliament recently.
Tragically Colin’s wife and daughter were killed in 2015 in a car crash. Since then, Colin has been a tireless campaigner for the organisation Report and Remain who campaign for the law to be changed to ensure that if someone knowingly leaves the scene of a road traffic collision where someone is fatally or seriously injured, it should be treated as a serious criminal act. I was pleased to be able to learn more about the campaign and I have now written to the Secretary of State for Transport to raise the matter formally. It was a lovely to meet Colin and hear more about the work he undertakes locally on behalf of Report and Remain. |
