I have been contacted by a number of frustrated constituents about the unfair charges being issued at the private car park off Anchor Road, some of whom have been fined for simply dropping off family, friends, and loved ones into Aldridge.
Take a look at the photos – there are red lines marked on the ground (which appear to have been painted over old yellow lines). However, the car park’s own signage only mentions yellow lines. If the signage isn’t even accurate, it raises serious questions about why residents are being penalised and charged.
I have contacted the Council to get clarity on their official regulations regarding red and yellow lines on private land, and I will be contacting the private company running the car park directly to demand answers.
