With boats already starting to arrive in Brownhills for the Canal Festival this weekend, it was a lovely evening yesterday to pop over for a walk along the canal towpath.
Organised by the Lichfield & Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust this weekend’s festival will see historic boats, traders, and private canal boats come together on Saturday and Sunday. I’ve already spotted some of my favourites – and look forward to going over the weekend.
