Like most residents I am dismayed that the unelected and unaccountable Planning Inspectorate have overturned the decision of Walsall Council to allow development of up to 115 homes on the Green Belt at Longwood Lane.
This decision can be put squarely at the door of this Labour Government as the Inspector has hidden behind their term ‘Grey Belt’.
You don’t have to be an expert in planning to know that this site is not ‘Grey’ it is ‘Green’ – Green Belt.
I will continue to fight to protect our precious Green Belt for all future generations.
Let me also take this opportunity to ask as many of you as possible to join us on The Croft in Aldridge at 12-noon on Saturday 28th February to support of our Green Belt and stand together against the over development of all the communities across Aldridge-Brownhills.
