This year marks a mile stone in Pelsall Community Centre’s history as they celebrate their 50th Anniversary. With a yearlong calendar of activities the Centre has raised a huge amount of money to see some renovations and modernisation to the much used Centre.

It was an honour and an absolute pleasure to be a part of this special occasion alongside representatives from the local community and the many many groups and organisations which use the facilities. I was privileged to unveil the special honours board on Saturday and see many displays from the archives of photographs and footage marking the many successful events held at the Centre over the half century.

Events like this are a wonderful way to celebrate our local heritage, whilst also providing an opportunity to recognise the work of so many who over the years, and today, volunteer their time and their talents for the benefit of the village. I feel sure the Centre will continue to enjoy many more years of success, stemming from the enthusiasm and commitment of all those involved with the running and using of the valuable community building.
