Over the weekend I was able to attend the start of the Party Conference in Manchester and it was a good opportunity to meet with a large cross section of representatives from the charitable and voluntary sector who were also attending.
As a Dementia Friend it was good to meet up with the Alzheimer’s Society and hear more about their latest campaigns. I also met with the British Heart Foundation where I was able to learn about their work to help clean up our air quality to prevent people from breathing in particles and causing heart disease.
It was good to see and speak to representatives of the Royal Mail too and hear about their on-going work, and to catch up with the NFU again and reinforce my support for their campaign to Back British Farming.
