Our Green Belt is under threat once again!

I am extremely disappointed to learn that a planning application has now been formally lodged for 850 houses at Land on Queslett Road between Aldridge Road and Doe Bank Lane.

This is yet another proposed application on Green Belt land that helps separate Pheasey Park Farm, Aldridge and Sutton Coldfield, and protects us from the urban sprawl of Birmingham.

And surprise surprise the developers are deeming the land to be ‘Grey Belt’!! Whilst the Prime Minister has one foot out of the door, I fear his lasting legacy may be to have destroyed our precious Green Belt and Open Spaces.

The existing road networks on Aldridge Road are already full to capacity without the prospect of a further 1500 more vehicles trying to access it!

As always on these matters I stand shoulder to shoulder with residents from across my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency and I will be making my objections known to the Council.

However, as I always say – I am only one voice in the planning process and I need as many residents as possible to make their views known and forward their objections to Walsall Council.

The current deadline for objections is the 16th July and the application number is 25/0560. – http://go.walsall.gov.uk/planningapps?id=26/0560

Meanwhile our ongoing campaign to protect our precious Green Belt against this continued blatant destruction.
