Our National Health Service today celebrates its 70th Anniversary. This is an important moment for us all to celebrate the achievements of the NHS, to appreciate the vital role it plays in our lives, and to recognise and thank the extraordinary staff who are the everyday heroes providing support and care for us, day in, day out.
Like you, my family and I have always relied on the NHS and I want to see us continue to preserve the value of fairness on which it was founded, whilst building the NHS of the future, ensuring it is there for future generations, just as it has been in the past.
