I am pleased that the Government have announced a clampdown on the sales of vapes to children. For too long rogue businesses have shamefully been promoting the use of colourful and flavoured vapes marketed to appeal to children.
So, I am pleased that the Government’s new measures will include:
- Making it easier to fine shops selling to under 18s
- Reviewing the sale of nicotine free vapes to under 18s
- Updating the school curriculum to teach kids about harmful effects of vaping
- Giving new resources for local police to kick vapes out of schools
The health and wellbeing of all of our children is a top priority and I welcome these measures to tackle the issue of underage vaping.
