It’s National Apprenticeship Week!

Now in its thirteenth year there are events taking place across England to celebrate the success of apprenticeships and encourage even more people to choose an apprenticeship as a pathway to a great career.

This year’s theme for National Apprenticeship Week is ‘Looking Beyond’ and aims to encourage everyone to see past the myths and stereotypes surrounding apprenticeships and realise the positive impact and benefits that apprenticeships have on our wider economy.

I have always been a big supporter of Apprenticeships and the role they play in bridging the skills gap and there is nothing like hearing from young people about their experiences and their achievements. Here in my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency we are fortunate to have InComm Training and Business Services where I have met with employers and apprentices.

I congratulate our local employers who are willing to invest time and money into apprentices as the skills gap would be a lot wider without their continued investment.
