Christmas comes but once a year and it is a special time for us all – a time for us to reflect and a time in which we celebrate the birth of Christ and the true meaning of the Christmas miracle.
Overall, for most of us it will be a time to be merry and joyful, to spend time with our loved ones, and to begin to reflect on the year past and look forward to the year ahead.
However, as we enjoy our festivities, in our thoughts and prayers will be those who are elderly, unwell, or alone during Christmas, and we extend a helping hand to those who are less fortunate than ourselves.
Every Christmas we should take time to appreciate the service and dedication of those within our country who will once again be working tirelessly to keep us safe and secure – our Armed Forces, as well as the men and women working in our emergency services, healthcare providers, firefighters, and the police.
As your Member of Parliament for Aldridge-Brownhills I remain proudly committed to serving our community.
The greatest highlight of my public service to the people of Aldridge-Brownhills is to be able to support all of you and so many local groups and campaigns that benefit our community and then shout about them in Parliament.
I have had the privilege of meeting many of you over the last year, your inspirational groups, organisations, charities and businesses that make a positive difference that make our community such a special part of the world to live, work and visit.
I once again applaud you all for the tremendous work you do, often without recognition but with such great impact that has a lasting legacy right throughout the year across the whole of the constituency.
I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Peaceful New Year, and I look forward to seeing you in 2026.
