It was good to meet with Blood Cancer UK in Westminster, as they continue to raise awareness of one of our silent killers.
Sadly, blood cancer is the third biggest cancer killer and the fifth most common cancer in the UK.
The term Blood Cancer is used to describe many different types of cancer that can affect the blood, bone marrow or lymphatic system.
Leukaemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma are some of the more common types that we hear about, but there are others too.
As I learnt, there is a lack of awareness regarding symptoms and the different types of blood cancer amongst the public and healthcare professionals.
