Today marks Holocaust Memorial Day, and I have recently signed the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Book of Commitment to express my dedication to this significant occasion. I strongly believe in the necessity of honouring those who lost their lives during the Holocaust, as well as acknowledging the relentless efforts of survivors to educate future generations.
In the days leading up to and on Holocaust Memorial Day, numerous commemorative events will take place across the country, organised by schools, faith groups, and community organisations.
Holocaust Memorial Day presents us with a chance to reflect on one of the darkest chapters in European history. As the Holocaust shifts from living memory to historical record, it is vital that we take the time to remember the six million Jewish victims and pay tribute to the survivors.
