I had an absolutely wonderful time at the Winterley Lane Allotments Open Day last Saturday – thank you everyone who took the time to show me around. So much progress continues to be made and it’s so good to see. Well done everyone.
I enjoyed catching up with you all again – and meeting some new faces too – and of course coming home with lots of cake and a beautiful bees wax candle. Thank you.
As community allotments and gardens this is a real gem that is rooted in the local community. It is a true community garden, and this was really highlighted on Saturday.
P.S. the lemons drizzle flapjack was delicious and I loved the photography and poetry.
