I am delighted to see that five of our local green spaces have been recognised in this year’s Green Flag Awards, celebrating the very best parks and green spaces across the country.
Huge congratulations to:
Blackwood Park
Doe Bank Park
Pelsall Common
Barr Beacon
Barns Lane Fishing Pool
These awards recognise the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in caring for these much-loved spaces, from the Barr Beacon Trust to the volunteers and community groups who help keep them looking their best.
Our parks and green spaces are so important! They provide places for families to enjoy, opportunities to exercise, spaces to connect with nature, and a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Congratulations once again to everyone who has helped secure these well-deserved awards. It’s wonderful to see our local green spaces receiving the national recognition they deserve.
