This weekend I joined local Councillors, Garry Perry, Rose Martin and Edward Lee in Pelsall at their Great British Spring Clean litter pick. Together with local residents we collect 20 bags of litter.

The Great British Spring Clean is a month-long activity to help keep our areas clean and tidy and discourage littering.

There have already been many GB Spring Clean activities across Aldridge-Brownhills with Litter Heroes, regular pickers and Walsall Council all working together to tackle litter hotspots and help keep our local area clean.

I then called into the Spring Craft Fayre at Pelsall Community Centre and caught up with people whilst enjoying the fantastic variety of stalls and a cup of coffee.

It is good to see the return of events such as this and I want to acknowledge the hard work of all our community organisation volunteers who put these events together.
