| 12-months ago we left the European Union. At the heart of leaving the EU was a commitment to create a Global Britain where we take back control of our trade to deliver jobs and prosperity across the UK.
To date we have successfully signed 63 trade deals across the world worth £885 billion to our economy. No other nation in history has successfully handled as many negotiations as we have. Having left the EU, every single one of these deals has been struck to suit Britain’s interests, tailored to create jobs and ensure increased economic growth. Now we are taking our trade agenda to the next level as we seek new agreements with the USA, Australia and New Zealand. Having left the EU our ambitious trade strategy will allow us to create a truly Global Britain which delivers jobs and prosperity across the West Midlands and my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency. |
