It is great news that across Walsall we are receiving £432,500 of Community Champions funding. The Community Champions will tap into their local networks to provide advice about COVID-19 and the vaccination programme.
The network of community champions will work with local councils to identify barriers to accessing accurate information and to provide tailored support.
Importantly this allow further help towards groups such as the elderly, by providing phone calls for people who are digitally excluded, helplines, and linking to GP surgeries.
This extra funding will build on the work of so many of our Community Associations right across my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency which have been at the forefront of helping us beat the Covid-19 pandemic.
