It was the first Love Leighswood Weekend so I dropped by the Leighswood Estate to lend a hand to The Thomas Project and their fabulous team of enthusiastic volunteers. This was just one part of their Love Leighswood action-packed weekend of community events and activities.
I also visited the Family Fun Day in High Heath. There was a lively atmosphere with face painting, a bouncy castle, a bucking bronco, and of course wonderful curry and samosas. I also had time to buy my favourite Yorkshire Tea Bags too! It was a great community day.
But a fun packed weekend is not complete without a good cup of tea and a chat, so I had a lovely afternoon at the Pelsall Seniors Party, helping prepare refreshments, and serve cups of tea with the terrific team of volunteers from the village. The entertainment and singing was very good too. Well done to everyone.
