It was a real pleasure to drop by the Friendship Group at Brownhills Community Centre and The Lamp recently, which is supported by Places of Welcome!
The Friendship Group is a free weekly coffee morning in a community-led space that offers free refreshments, a safe environment, and friendly conversation for all. It was clear to see that the group at Brownhills Community Centre is a huge hit! It was great to catch up with Jan Davies and local residents over a cup of tea.
I would also like to give a special shoutout to the wonderful Sue and Jane, who have been volunteering there for 5 years now! Well done and thank you to you both!
The Friendship Group is open to everyone, and is held at the Brownhills Community Centre every Wednesday from 11am to 1pm.
