This week saw Parliament conclude its debate on the EU (Withdrawal) Bill marking a crucial step in our preparations for leaving the EU.
This is a very significant piece of legislation, following the result of the EU Referendum, and I have supported the Prime Minister, Theresa May, and the Government. The EU (Withdrawal) Bill provides certainty and, vitally important, allows us to begin paving the way for a ‘Global Britain’ where we will be able to look beyond the continent of Europe and begin to embrace the opportunities of the wider world with new friends and old allies alike.
I want to see a Brexit which works for Britain and works for everyone in my constituency and that is why I will continue to back the Prime Minister’s steely determination to achieve that deal.
