Disability Confident is about creating a movement of change, encouraging employers to think differently about disability and to take action to improve how they recruit, retain and develop disabled employees.
Today I was pleased to host a Disability Confident event here in the constituency for local employers. Over 7,000 employers nationwide have already signed-up to Disability Confident and the number is growing all the time. I am keen to support this and help local businesses and employers too.
Disability Confident organisations play a leading role in changing attitudes for the better. The success of Disability Confident can really make a difference to our businesses, networks and community.
