As many people are aware barcodes have been added to all regular stamps. Regular stamps without a barcode will no longer be valid after 31 July 2023. This follows the introduction of a 6-month grace period from the initial 31 January deadline.
This is your reminder to either use up your non-barcoded stamps before the 31st July 2023 or swap them for the new barcoded ones.
Your non-barcoded stamps can be exchanged for new barcoded versions through the Stamp Swap Out Scheme/ You can find more details here: https://www.royalmail.com/sending/barcoded-stamps or you can get all of the information you need and pick up a ‘Swap Out’ form from your local Post Office.
The Post Office won’t be able to swap your stamps, but they can help you to do that.
Special Stamps with pictures on and Christmas Stamps without a barcode will continue to be valid and don’t need to be swapped out.
