In the week that we celebrated the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day landings and the sacrifice that so many people made for our freedom I was pleased to be able to call at Aldridge Library and see our local exhibition to commemorate the anniversary.
Superbly curated once again by Sue Satterthwaite, the exhibition gives us an insight into the fascinating experience of three people from Aldridge who took part in D-Day and the battle for Normandy.
I would once again like to thank Sue and all our local historians who take so much time to bring our own local history to life, especially at significant moments in the history of our nation.
The display will be in Aldridge Library until August and I would certainly recommend a visit.
