Tomorrow the Lionesses will start their journey to defend their title in the Women’s World Cup.
Their first group stage match will be against Haiti and will be broadcast on television at 10.30am.
I was delighted recently to meet with representatives of the Lionesses in Parliament and see the World Cup trophy.
As a group of young women, they have massively advanced the cause for girls and women to break the glass ceiling in football!
So, like all of you I will be getting behind them throughout the World Cup – Come On The Lionesses!
