On Saturday I held a Macmillan Christmas Coffee Morning to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. We raised a fantastic £165.71. I want to thank everyone if they baked, helped to prepare or just supported us on the day, every penny counts for such an important charity.

Amongst the many other festive events I attended at the weekend I had the pleasure of calling in to the Autumn Close Community Centre to listen to the beautiful carols from local primary school children.

Later in the day it was on to Brownhills and the Festival of Music and Lights at the Canoe Centre. I even had the chance to try my hand at conducting the Mercian Brass Band Christmas Carols – with a bit of guidance!
