Recess Wednesdays are certainly very different from my usual Wednesdays in Parliament for PMQs, so it made a refreshing change to spend some time visiting Citizens Advice Sandwell & Walsall at Brownhills Community Centre.
I really enjoyed chatting with CEO, Matt Lorimer, and hearing more about the incredible work the organisation does to support people across our borough.
From debt support and welfare benefits to energy advice, housing issues and general advice services, their team provides a vital lifeline for many local residents. What impressed me most was their commitment to listening to people, understanding their individual circumstances and helping them find practical solutions when they need support the most.
Citizens Advice Sandwell & Walsall truly are champions for local people, offering free, confidential and independent advice to those who need it.
