I was delighted to visit The Farmers Boy in Rushall last week and toast the reopening following a £430,000 refurbishment by Heineken-owned Star Pubs & Bars, which has created 15 new jobs locally.
It is excellent news for Rushall to have such a major investment in a local pub. The design and facilities are outstanding. Good pubs play an important social role as gathering places for the communities they serve and The Farmers Boy looks set to be a big part of Rushall life.
It was great to meet the new licensee Mick Vann and his team and see the refurbishment first-hand.
