I was pleased to be able to attend the launch of the 2019 Local Shop Report by the Association of Convenience Stores in Parliament last week and meet with their representatives as well as “H” from Nisa Local (Walsall) High Heath.

The latest report shows how our local convenience stores employ more than 400,000 people across the country whilst generating £40 billion of sales in the last year.

The report also demonstrates how important their network of convenience stores are to thousands of communities and millions of customers and I certainly know how valuable they are to a lot of residents from across my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency. I was good to be able to have a chat with H and also learn more about The Hub project.
