It was once again a pleasure to be invited to join staff and students at Brownhills School for their Act of Remembrance. It was a very poignant morning, with thought provoking poems and readings and the distinguished sound of the “Last Post” in which the students with thoughtful respect and reverence remembered all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
A Poppy created from pebbles signed by each member of staff and all students was particularly creative and unique. I felt honoured to be able to sign one of these special pebbles to add to the design.
