This weekend saw historic boats, traders and private canal boats come together for the Brownhills Canal Festival, along with side stalls and entertainment.
Organised by the Lichfield & Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust its good to see the Canal Festival go from strength to strength. It was a good opportunity to meet up with the Inland Waterways Association and Canal & River Trust and to browse and buy from the stalls.
I couldn’t resist stopping by Wild Side aboard The Jam Butty for a few more jars of locally produced jam and marmalade and even found time to drop into Morgans Coffee Shop with Kerry Murphy and John Murray from Brownhillsfirst Councillor Team.
