I am disappointed by Walsall Planning Committee’s decision to approve two five-bedroom homes on Barr Lakes Lane. As many of you know, I’m a firm believer in a Brownfield First approach and the vital need to protect our precious Green Belt.
The decision of the Planning Committee to disregard Planning Officer’s advice and develop on this site makes the decision even harder to swallow.
I recently met with local residents from Pheasey Park Farm and members of the Beacon Action Group to discuss this issue. We shared a collective frustration with regards to this matter and I am working with them to obtain answers as to why this application was approved against clear Officer advice.
Residents can be assured I will continue to be a voice for the right development in the right places – Brownfield First – Protect our Green Belt!
