Today is the third Monday of January, and is often labelled “Blue Monday” and called the toughest day of the year. While that label is a myth, the reality is that any day can be a challenge for someone going through a difficult time.
That is why I am supporting the Samaritans #BrewMonday campaign which encourages us to reach out to friends, family, or colleagues for a cup of tea and a genuine conversation.
The Samaritans do incredible work, providing a 24/7 listening ear for those in need and I was pleased to meet the incredible team earlier today in Parliament.
Sometimes, simply being present to listen is the most impactful thing you can do.
