I was delighted to take part in the Industry and Parliament Trust and The Royal British Legion Annual Poppy Ride. The charity bike ride was held in Portcullis House, Parliament and pitched Politicians against Armed Forces Professionals to raise money for this year’s poppy appeal.
In my allotted 5-minutes of cycling I notched up 2.62km, not quite beating some of my fellow athletic Parliamentary colleagues.
The Annual Poppy Ride was once again a great event in which MPs were encouraged to participate, all of the money raised on the day has gone to help The Royal British Legion provide lifelong support for our Armed Forces community.
