I always enjoy visiting Aldridge Shed and so when I spotted the Parliament Shed pop up in Westminster I dropped by to say hello – only to find myself persuaded to try my hand at some woodworking!
Across the UK there are over 1,100 ‘Men’s Sheds’, including the one in Aldridge. They are community spaces to connect, chat and get involved in activities such as woodworking and carpentry, and much, much more. They also provide a social environment for conversation and well-being.
By setting up the Parliament Shed for a week at Westminster the UK Men’s Shed Association (UKMSA) raised awareness of what they do in so many communities.
