Education plays a vital role in addressing the skills gap in our workforce. That is why in the recent House of Commons debate on ‘Adult and Further Education’ I contributed to the debate.
Throughout my contribution, I showcased the work of Mayor Andy Street who has prioritised skills, re-skilling, and teaching our future workforce the skills for tomorrow.
I also emphasised the importance of a tri-partisan relationship between education, training providers, and industry to ensure that we meet the needs for our region.
This is certainly being achieved in Aldridge-Brownhills, and across the West Midlands, due to the incredible work carried out by providers such as Walsall College, In-comm Training & Business Services, and the Coventry and Warwickshire Chambers of Commerce.
