I was delighted to accept an invitation from Richard Beeken, the Chief Executive of the Manor Hospital to visit the Accident and Emergency Department and hear about the plans for the redevelopment of the department following the Government’s commitment of £36 million of capital funding towards a new Emergency Department.

Throughout the visit I was once again struck by the incredible professionalism of the people we are fortunate enough to have working in our precious National Health Service and their dedication to patients is to be commended.

The new facilities will be great for patients across Walsall, including Aldridge-Brownhills, and for all the staff working in our local emergency services.  I would like to thank the staff for taking the time to facilitate my visit and I look forward to visiting again in the near future.
