As many may already have seen across social media, back in March 2022 I wrote to our local Primary Schools to invite them to design a card I would send on behalf of Aldridge-Brownhills to Her Majesty The Queen to mark her Platinum Jubilee.
The response was fantastic and after receiving hundreds of entries, I was joined by Lord-Lieutenant John Crabtree OBE to help choose a winner.
It was not an easy task but after much deliberation we chose a fabulous design from Emilia of St Bernadette’s Catholic Primary School. Well done Emilia.
There were so many unique and intricate designs submitted with a variety of themes, from crowns to corgis, portraits to patriotic emblems.
We also chose 4 runners up for the back cover, designs from Michaela of St Michael’s CE Primary School, Lionel-Nicolae from Rushall Primary School, Isabelle from Ryders Hayes, and Holly from Castlefort JMI and a Special Commendation for Elizabeth from St Michael’s CE Primary School too.
These winning designs have been transformed into the card which I sent to Buckingham Palace.
