Every March, the Great Daffodil Appeal encourages people to donate and wear a daffodil pin to raise money to help Marie Curie continue its vital work. Many of us will know of the incredible work of Marie Curie, yet currently one in four people don’t get the care and support they need at the end of life.
The money raised through the appeal helps Marie Curie provide expert care and support to anyone with an illness they are likely to die from, and support those close to them, either through one of the charity’s hospices, hospice care at home services, or free Information and Support line which provides practical and emotional support on any aspect of death, dying and bereavement.
I recently met one of the Marie Curie Healthcare Assistants, and Marie Curie Ambassador Chris Kamara in Parliament to show my support for this year’s appeal.
