I was honoured to be invited to Rushall Primary school last week to attend their special Jubilee Celebration Assembly. Alongside Deputy Lieutenant Simon Topman it was wonderful to see the fabulous red white and blue jubilee decorations made by the children and to hear the wonderful singing as we all assembled on the playground in the sunshine.
Whilst I was there, I was delighted to present Lionel with his prize and a copy of the card we sent to Her Majesty The Queen. Lionel was a runner up in my competition and his excellent design is included on the card.
From paper crowns to colourful displays, singing to entertainment, and not forgetting the tough task of judging the decorated cakes – it was wonderful to be invited to take part. Thank you all.
