On Safer Internet Day the Government announced its intention to strengthen the proposed Online Safety Bill to include a new legal duty to require all sites that publish pornography to put in place robust checks to ensure that all users are 18 or over.
In recent years it has become far too easy for our children to access online pornography and the proposed legislation will mean:
- Our children will be given greater protections
- Websites will be forced to prevent underage access
- A new scheme of fines for pornography providers who fail to adhere to the rules
