Since the start of the Covd-19 pandemic we have all been encouraged to take daily exercise including walking, running and cycling. However, for many people they have missed their regular visits to the gym and swimming pool as they were sadly forced to close their doors when we went into lockdown.
So I know how pleased people were when Walsall Council were able to announce that Oak Park Leisure Centre in Walsall Wood could reopen at the end of July. I was delighted to visit the centre last week and meet Andrew Dale and his team for a tour of the facilities and the new Covid-19 measures which have been put in place to keep the centre operating and its users safe.
Oak Park is a valuable community facility and it is good to see that it is now reopen for the benefit of local residents.
